Services for RHS members
What information we need
Please state your membership number with all enquires.
For an accurate diagnosis, explain how the plant was cultivated and when and how a problem developed. Send a selection of roots up to 1cm (0.5in) wide, shoot and soil samples where disease is suspected.
For more details see How to send a plant or pest sample.
We endeavour to reply in five to 14 days. However, some plant identifications and laboratory tests can take more than three weeks.
How to ask your question
E-mail your enquiry to gardeningadvice@rhs.org.uk. Please always include your membership number. Our typical response time is three to ten days, however some enquiries that need research and analysis do take longer.
